London Day Three

Front page news today! Duchess Kate is pregnant....half of today's paper is about this, reviewing her pregnancy with prince George. The other half of the paper is about the very real possibility of Scotland separating from the Union in a referundum to be cast in 9 days. Fascinating to be here and to be getting the news directly!

We stopped at St. Paul's Cathedral today. Once again, no photos, but what a fascinating place! The history of the place is unbelievable, with crypts for John Dunne, William Blake and Lord Nelson. This is where Dianna and Prince Charles were married, and it was incredible to sit and imagine the pageantry as she walked down the aisle.

We were thrilled to be able to participate in morning prayers and later, a communion service. How wonderful to be so comfortable with the liturgy that is almost the same as that of our Anglican church back home!

This is an incredible building, with three domes above the sanctuary. The second dome looks down into the third, and the top one looks down into the lower two. From the very top is a view of the entire city. It was over 500 steps to the top, but it was worth it!

Looking down on the Thames River and the London Bridge

We weren't very happy with Golden Tours Hop on Hop Off bus company, as we had up to hour long waits for our buses today. If we were doing this trip again, we would research the different companies, and go with the highest rated one on Tripadvisor. Having said that, we saw some amazing sites, and love the convenience of these types of tours.
